We are looking out for you. There is a company called Pinnacle Entertainment AKA Let's Dance Productions that has scammed many DJs as well as Bride's and Groom's.
This company regularly contracts and receives payment from customers for wedding entertainment, then attempts to subcontract the work out to other vendors.
When they find a vendor, they allow them to perform, then never pays the sub-contractot.
When they can not find a subcontractor, they many times simply do not show up for the event, and keep the customer's money, blaming it on unforseen circumstances.
The company uses misleading (internet) phone lines and in many cases, bogus addresses making it almost impossible to track their moves.
The good news, is they HAVE been found.

Right now, there is a joint, Texas and FBI investigation looking to file criminal charges against Pinnacle and their owners.
