Welcome & Thank You
On behalf of the CPS program and as director of the annual Computer DJ VJ KJ Summit, I would like to welcome you to the community. This career step is one of the most important ones you will make to ensure your success in the future. Your participation is imperative for us all to continue making strides in the profession of professional DJing with Computerized Performance Systems.
Before too much time slips by, I wanted to convey my sincere thanks to all the participants who took time from their busy schedules to give consideration, guidance, and advice in developing the CPS education program and DJ Summits. While it is easy to think of our program as "just another industry consortium," in practice it far exceeds that narrow characterization. It is one thing to serve as a socializing platform for a group of professional Computer Disc Jockeys, but quite another to take responsibility for extending educational opportunities. Even more impressive is taking responsibility for ensuring that resources are effectively communicated without biases.
The Computer DJ Summit is an integral part of the Computer DJing community and will allow you to have opportunities for leadership and growth during your educational process. It will also keep you apprised of important issues that face our profession, as well as allow you to have input into solutions and offer direct input to manufacturers, programmers, and developers of tools we will incorporate into our Computerized Performance Systems.
As the Program Director, founder and Industry Liaison, I would like to challenge each one of you to contribute your time and efforts so that together we can pioneer a future that we all are proud of. I invite you to explore this web site in depth to learn more about our educational certification, hands-on summit, research programs, and how you can become involved in our community as a student, a mentor, a member, and a contributor. The key to our success is your participation, and I personally welcome you.
Wishing you the best of good fortune in your DJ career,
2008 Computer DJing Industry Survey The purpose of the survey is to collect product-anonymous information about computer DJs, which we will aggregate and publicly share with the hardware manufacturing and software development community community. The survey features multi questions, and upon completion you will be entered in a drawing to win some great prizes and software. All responses will remain completely anonymous and no personal information will be shared, harvested or sold.
The more completed surveys we get, the better our data will be, meaning our findings will be of greater interest to the hardware manufacturing and software development community. Be sure to take the survey! All of your information will remain anonymous, and once we receive enough responses, we'll announce when we'll publish the data.

CPS Certification Gives an Edge
In a white paper titled Certification: Networking With the Best, George R. Conrade, wrote, "Certification is an excellent way to gain a competitive edge and give proof of your abilities, knowledge, and level of skill. To be certified in any profession, whether it's as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or as a CPS Certified Disc Jockey (CPSDJ), means you have joined a network of individuals who meet consistent, knowledge-based standards of ability, position, experience-even ethics. When you pursue certification, you're testing yourself against these standards of proficiency." Click here for details.
