Just Announced - 5th Annual CPS Summit Location Set
After rave reviews from last years Summit location we are returning to the Sheraton Suites Tampa. Our attendees will once again experience luxurious two-room "suites" ideal for sharing or bringing family and friends. Each suite features separate living room with wet bar, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and queen sleeper sofa. Private over-sized bedroom with separate vanity area. Two remote control TVs and a stereo/CD player. Two telephones with dual lines, data ports, and voice mail. Iron/ironing board and hairdryer. Complimentary USA Today newspaper delivered each morning.

THE LOCATION Located at the heart of the Westshore Business District off Interstate 275 on Cypress between Westshore and Lois Avenue. Three miles from Tampa International Airport, less than a mile from the famous International Plaza & Bay Street and the Westshore Plaza Mall.

TRANSPORTATION The Sheration not only offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the Tampa Airport attendees can ride the shuttle to several malls, shopping plazas, restaurants and clubs free. If your attending the Summit with others that don't attend the day-long schedule of seminars and/or workshops they can shop and see the sights without the cost of taxi or car rentals.

Sunday November 18, two charter busses will bring attendees to the LDI showroom in Orlando, the largest US tradeshow and conference focused on technologies for the live entertainment industry. We encourage attendees to arive earily and experience the LDInstitute as you earn CPS Certification and Re-Certification points for attending any of the intensive in-depth professional training
at the LDInstitute.

Posted Nov. 23, 2002 - C.P.S.D.J. Terminology Adopted
During the IAAPA trade show and continued during the LDI trade show, focus on the description of what descriptive term would define individuals that incorporate a computer into live controlled mixing. The term C.P.S.D.J. passed with unanimous approval and this definition of term:
C.P.S.D.J. Com-pu-ter-ized Per-form-ance Sys-tem Disc Jock-ey, (n) 1:an entertainer that utilizes a personal computer based system, that can be programmed to manipulate audio, symbols, perform complex and repetitive mixing procedures quickly, precisely and reliably, able to quickly store and retrieve large amounts of data during remote or live performances 2: entertains at events with pre-recorded or live music. Utilizes music programming skills, emceeing ability, combining a mixture of hardware and software combinations. |

2008 Computer DJing Industry Survey
The purpose of the survey is to collect product-anonymous information about computer DJs, which we will aggregate and publicly share with the hardware manufacturing and software development community community. The survey features multi questions, and upon completion you will be entered in a drawing to win some great prizes and software. All responses will remain completely anonymous and no personal information will be shared, harvested or sold.
The more completed surveys we get, the better our data will be, meaning our findings will be of greater interest to the hardware manufacturing and software development community.
